So now you know all about our Early Careers programmes you probably have a few more final questions. We hope the FAQ below can answer any additional questions you have, but if you cannot find the answer below, then please get in touch with our early careers team.
Our process is similar for all early careers programmes and is based upon our company values. All applicants are required to apply online and upload a CV. Your CV will be reviewed, and if successful, you will enter a three-stage process which consists of an online aptitude test, an initial interview and a final stage face-to-face interview at our assessment centre. If you are successful at any of the stages above, then you will be given further details on what to expect and how to prepare.
We make sure that all applications receive an acknowledgement once completed. This is done through an automated email which you should receive shortly after submitting your application.
Yes, this is possible. However, please bear in mind the requirements of the role and skills needed. If your application is not a match for the programme then we reserve the right to amend your application to the right role.
We will hold your application information for 12 months, after which time it will be removed from the system automatically. In line with new GDPR guidelines, if you are not successful at any stage, then you will be asked if you would be happy for ISG to retain your information for future career matches. If you opt not to do this then we will remove your details from the system immediately.
We don’t like to leave you waiting, so we aim to respond to all applications and assessments within five working days. We also believe that development is important, whether successful or not. Therefore, we aim to provide feedback on your outcome either way.
We welcome re-applications from unsuccessful candidates. We recommend 12 months between applications to allow you time to demonstrate that you have taken feedback onboard and worked on the advice provided. This will give you a better opportunity when interviewed for a second time.
We do occasionally have graduate and apprenticeship roles that are not part of our set programmes. These will be advertised on our careers pages, so we recommend keeping an eye on there for any roles which may be available.
We do support early careers applicants with reimbursement of up to £50 per interview. Depending on the distance to travel, this may be increased. You should let the early careers team know if you wish to claim expenses and they will make sure you have the right form for completion.
We take your ongoing development very seriously at ISG, and recognise that learning comes from a variety of sources – from on-the-job experiences, through feedback, coaching and mentoring from skilled leaders, to more formal courses and programmes. We encourage everyone at #TeamISG to have a clear development plan, supported by line managers, that draws upon a range of resources available to all. We openly promote our vacancies internally, routinely run a range of personal, managerial, technical and career development programmes, and invest in the skills of our leaders at all levels to ensure all colleagues can access great experience and coaching to support their career aspirations.
