The Virgin Active club at One Raffles Place redefines the standard of fitness centres in South East Asia. Marking a first for Virgin Active in their expansion into Asia from their traditional base in Europe, South Africa and Australia, ISG was appointed to deliver this club as the Construction Manager. Spread across three floors, the club comprises 33,000 sq ft of exercise and treatment zones interconnected via a newly constructed central staircase, and houses some of the latest fitness and audio-visual technologies in the sector.

Unlike most typical fitness centres, the ratio of treatment areas within this club is higher than usual, occupying approximately 20% of the total club net useable areas. These areas include the likes of steam and ice rooms, salt rooms and reflexology areas. The logistics of tile laying was one of the significant challenges the Singapore team faced, with some 38,000 sq ft of tiling laid in the club over a period of two weeks.
